ASV Photographics has been operating since 2000, where I took my first pictures of performers at woodford folk festival. Although not paid at the time I marvelled at being thanked for the care and work I put into it. I decided not long after, that photgraphy was a worthwhile and fullfilling venture. With my background in dance and theatre it made sense to work within the performing arts sector but soon became apparent tht my skill set equally transfers to the corporate sector. In 2008 I broadened my range of photos to include family, and family type events such as birthdays and weddings.
     I have been official photographer for Woodford Folk Festival (07/08), and worked for most of the performing arts companies in Brisbane as well as working in  Sydney, Adelaide and  Melbourne. For two years I worked as a picture hanger in Brisbane and so have a complete understanding of the process from taking the picture to framing and hanging it. Although I dont hang pictures any more I know who to use and take into account how the photo may be used in it's final form.
     My clients include, Brisbane City Council, Woodford Folk festival, Metro Arts,Vulcana womens Circus, Top Chick Management, Light Wire Productions, Backbone Youth Arts, Rio Rythmics, Queensland University or Technology, Judith Wright Centre for the performing Arts, State Library of Queensland and many many more.
    One thing that sets me aside from other photographers is how I make people feel at ease and even have fun. I am very personable and empathetic to the models and client who undergo the scrutiny of the camera.
